Daily Visitation
December 2022: We will be open Tuesdays through Sundays from 8 am - 5 pm.

Last admission is 30 minutes before closing.

Members may enter the Garden without a reservation.

Visitors using admit one passes to enter the Garden do not need to make a reservation - please remember to fill out the requested information on the back of the guest pass prior to your arrival.

We recommend that public visitors pre-purchase tickets online.

Restricted Areas
IMPORTANT: Please remain on the Garden trails and do not walk off the paths during your visit. Staff have flagged off areas where work continues on clean-up from the windstorm in late January.

Visitors MUST NOT enter areas or trails that are marked with yellow caution tape, and are advised to stay well clear. By entering the Garden, you affirm that you are voluntarily assuming all risks and dangers incidental to admission and will not enter restricted areas.

COVID-19 Risk
Following CDC and LA County Department of Public Health guidelines, visitors may enjoy the outdoor areas of the Garden mask-free regardless of vaccination status. The Administration Building and Horticulture Complex are closed to visitors.

An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present; we cannot guarantee you will not be exposed during your visit. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the Center for Disease Control, older adults and guests of any age who have serious underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable. Guests should evaluate their risk in determining whether to visit. By visiting CalBG, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.

Our open days, times, and policies are subject to change. California Botanic Garden will follow County and State guidelines as we work together to ensure the safety of garden visitors, staff and our larger community.
