Find the perfect space for your event in
California's Native Garden.
Our largest venue is a spacious open-air location, featuring beautiful views of the San Gabriel Mountains. Groves of Torrey pines, redwoods and oaks add a sense of majesty while wildflowers brighten any celebration. Located adjacent to the CalBG Administration Building with restroom facilities, dressing rooms and quick access to parking, the California Courtyard is the perfect venue for large events.
This open-air venue features a custom designed pergola that echoes the nearby San Gabriel Mountains. Architectural partitions showcase a collection of beautiful container plants that are curated for special exhibitions.
California Cultivar Garden
Located in the heart of the Garden, the Cultivar Garden is a beautiful two-acre space that features gazebos, a reflecting pool, fountain and mountain views. Covered by native California grape vines, the large gazebo seats 40 guests and provides beautiful vantage points into redwood, oak and manzanita groves. The small gazebo, ideal for an intimate ceremony or gathering, features a contemporary sculpture and can accommodate 10 to 15 people.
Percy C. Everett Memorial Garden
Inspired by the lush riparian creeks that flow through the San Gabriel Mountains, the Percy C. Everett Memorial Garden is set against a tree-studded slope and hedged by beautiful California natives, from white sage to scarlet monkey flowers. This intimate space, complete with the murmurs of hummingbirds and songbirds that frequent the babbling fountain, is a picturesque garden for small gatherings and receptions.
Johnson Memorial Oval
Johnson Memorial Oval, designed by award-winning Landscape Architect Wynne Wilson, is one of the Garden's beautiful centerpieces. Anchored by a California buckeye tree, which bursts into a profusion of pink and white blossoms in the spring, this intimate space has a small, looped walking path that meanders through a riverbed of granite boulders, native reeds and wildflowers. A handsome wooden gazebo, recalling the California Craftsmen era, provides the perfect spot for a bar or catering table. The surrounding patio space can accommodate up to 50 people, depending on your seating arrangements.
