Joy in the Garden: A Celebration of Play, Adventure, and Native Plants

Join us in celebrating the grand opening of The Children's Woodlands at CalBG with a youth community art show! Submit your artwork to be displayed in a special exhibition at CalBG's Sage Gallery this spring.

Participating artists will receive an invitation to our opening reception on Thursday, April 9th from 5-7 pm at the Sage Gallery at CalBG, including two admission passes for this day for the artist and their guest. All art will remain on display until June 2025.

Submission Guidelines:

• All submissions should be inspired by California Botanic Garden including plants, animals, people, and places you've discovered while visiting CalBG! We are so excited to see what your imagination comes up with!
• All art mediums welcome, including digital art, but AI produced or amended art is prohibited.
• All winning artworks may be digitally captured and printed for outdoor display. "3D" works (sculpture, etc.) will be photographed for long-term display.
• Art accepted by artists between the ages of 2-18.
• All submissions due by January 10th. Artists will be notified by February 28th if their submission will be included in the show.
• All artwork will be available for pick up at the conclusion of the show. A reminder email will be sent.

By entering this contest, artists agree that they are the sole and exclusive author and owner of the artwork, and that they grant California Botanic Garden non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to use the submitted art in any manner, including all associated uses, reproduction, and distribution.
