CalBG Director of Conservation Programs Dr. Naomi Fraga will share the botanical story of California's beloved annual wildflowers, from the soil seed bank to the conditions that can create a "superbloom." Illustrating her talk with photos from her extensive fieldwork across Southern California, Dr. Fraga will take viewers on a tour of the diversity and beauty of California wildflowers and demonstrate how to care for their delicate ecosystems this year and into the future.
