Class Description:

Join Annica Wu—CalBG Herbarium Collections Manager—and learn to collect and preserve plants using herbarium techniques to create one-of-a-kind art pieces (cards, postcards, bookmarks). Week 1 will be the collection component where we will walk around the garden to collect beautiful fall plants and learn about field collection. In the second week of the class, participants will create art using the plants collected during week 1.

Class Components:

On the first day, expect a light and easy walk around the garden. A tram ride is available if requested. On the second day, there will be contact with glue and some pointy tools like forceps. On both days, there will be contact with plants.
