Class Description:
Flutter into the fascinating world of Southern California's most beautiful winged residents! In this class, we'll explore the delicate details, bold patterns, and vibrant colors of local butterflies (and the surprisingly charming caterpillars that come before them)! We'll have real butterfly specimens on hand to observe up close, and step-by-step drawing handouts to guide you every stroke of the way. Using drawing pencils and colored pencils, you'll learn to capture intricate wing markings, delicate antennae, and fuzzy textures that make each creature uniquely stunning.
Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned artist, you'll leave with new skills, a beautiful drawing, and a whole new appreciation for the tiny wonders living right in your own backyard!
Important Note About Materials:
All supplies needed will be provided for you. However, if you have beloved tools or materials of your own, you are always welcome to bring them along — more options only means more creative possibilities! We will be using drawing paper, drawing pencils, colored pencils, and erasers.
