Native orchids? Oh yes!

Though orchids are often thought of as tropical plants, California is home to more than 30 native orchid species. Dive into the world of orchids with this introductory class that will explore orchid biology and introduce the native orchids of California and the western states. Participants will have the opportunity to dissect orchid flowers, learn about basics of orchid cultivation and conservation, and ask any orchid questions on their mind.

This class will be led by Allison Autry, orchid researcher and CalBG botany program PhD candidate.
