Learn about iNaturalist!

Led by Alvaro Garcia, CalBG Horticulturist and Educator, this is your chance to ask questions and learn from an expert about how to get started with a favorite tool of both experienced and novice native plant enthusiasts. This 30-minute mini workshop will cover the basics of using iNaturalist on desktop and mobile devices, as well as tips on how to get the most value out of each platform.

In addition to teaching the basic functions of iNaturalist (such as making observations, contributing to projects, locating taxa, digitally surveying a location, research, etc.), Alvaro will discuss how the iNaturalist platform is relevant to science and conservation, and how it can be used by participants to further their understanding of botany and ecology with the goal of becoming better advocates for the natural world.

Thank you to the City of Claremont for sponsoring this class and other CalBG programming.
