California Botanic Garden will honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy with free admission to the Garden on Monday, January 19, 2026.

We are typically closed on Mondays but will be open on Monday, January 19 from 8 AM - 5 PM for MLK Day.

A limited number of free tickets are available for public general admission, so reserve your spot today! Interested in supporting access to CalBG's Living Collection and educational programming? You can also make a small donation at checkout. These donations will help ensure that we can continue to offer educational outreach, free and discount tickets on free days and through programs like Museum for All, and classes and events that connect visitors to the beauty and biodiversity of California native plants.

Admission tickets for the public (non-members) are valid for the entire day during our opening hours: there is no specific entry time or duration of your visit.
