‍Class Dates: This two-part class meets twice.

Session 1: Sunday, April 26

Class Description:

Join Annica Wu—CalBG Herbarium Collections Manager—and learn to learn to collect and preserve plants using herbarium techniques to create one-of-a-kind art pieces (cards, postcards, bookmarks). Session 1 will be the collection component where we will walk around the garden to collect plants in bloom and learn about field collection. In session 2 of the class, participants will create art using the plants they collected during the previous week. There will also be an educational tour of the herbarium during the second session.  

Class Components:

On the first day, expect a light and easy walk around the garden. A tram ride is available if requested. On the second day, there will be contact with glue and some pointy tools like forceps. On both days, there will be contact with plants.
