The combination of art and nature can be seen throughout history. From Paleolithic cave paintings of animals, to the landscapes of Claude Monet or the flowers of Georgia O’Keefe, humans have always used art to make observations about the natural world around them. Join us virtually on Saturday, January 30 to practice your observational skills and learn how to translate those skills into sketches that are enhanced by the use of watercolor. With the expert guidance of Aleta Jacobson, artist and instructor, get started with contour drawing and learn the basics of watercolor in this Nature Sketch and Watercolor class. Beginner to advanced students are welcome! All students will receive a suggested materials and subject list upon registration. The virtual two-hour class will take place through Zoom on Saturday, January 30 at 10am.
