Join us for a morning of observation and reflection through the lens of nature journaling. By using a combination of art, writing, and science, nature journaling helps to form a deeper connection to the natural world around us. Hone your observation skills and free your creativity in this two-hour webinar with the guidance of botanical illustrator Brittany Burgard. In this class, you will learn about the historical context of nature journaling, practice warm up exercises to get you started, spend time labeling and fine tuning the details of your illustrations, and receive feedback on your work from your instructor. Use these skills on your next walk through the Garden to take a breath, slow down, and discover something new.
This class will be taught online via Zoom on August 29, from 10 AM - 12 PM. All participants will be sent a suggested materials and subject list upon registration.
