We can all use moments of peace and tranquility in our daily lives. Aleta Jacobson, artist and instructor, will guide you through the calming and liberating practice of meditative art, while you create beautiful geometric landscapes made from watercolor, tape, and ink.
Aleta Jacobson is a working artist, instructor, and designer who specializes in creating powerful collage, mixed media, watercolors, and acrylic paintings using a variety of tools and materials. Important Note About Materials: You can either purchase and bring your own materials for this class or pay a $10 materials fee to the instructor for materials. Below you will find a list of art materials. Feel free to contact registrar@calbg.org with any questions that you have about materials.
The class will take place indoors. At this time masks will be optional according to the preference of the wearer, but we will let everyone know if our guidelines change.
Required Supplies for Meditative Art: Geometric Landscapes on September 23, 2023
* Watercolor paper cut into geometric shapes
(Cut out a variety of different shapes using the provided templates, as well as some rectangle shapes if you like. Please have these cut out before you come to class. You will use around 5 watercolor paper shapes during the class, depending on the speed at which you work. Click here to access the templates.)
* Round brushes # 4, 6, 8
* A selection of watercolor paints
* Palette for mixing colors
* Small scissors
* Pencil and eraser
* Micron 01 or 02 pen black
* Uni-ball Signo white pen
* 2 water containers
* Paper towels or soft rag
* Few sheets of printer paper or sketchbook
